We put each car through a quality filter - does it have a clean title? Do the cosmetics match the expectations of the price point? Does the car seem like it was well maintained? Does it feel shady? Only then can a car make it onto our list and be considered "worth taking the next step".
No. A seller cannot buy their way onto our list. Each spot on our newsletter must be earned by quality of car.
No. To protect the integrity of our recommended listings, we do not get paid by sellers.
Yes, but they're negotiable. You're dealing with a dynamic market where you can negotiate based on condition.
Yes, we only send cars that show clean title statuses. We ask potential buyers to verify the clean title status and not just take the seller's word for it though.
These cars have passed our filters and are now considered "cars worth your attention". These are the cars that we'd recommend to take the next steps with (see it in person, test drive it, set up a pre-purchase inspection (PPI), negotiate, etc). Ask them to tell you about their car, how it was maintained, and why it's being sold. Use our safety guidelines and meet with the seller for a test drive. Then utilize one of our recommended shops for a pre-purchase inspection to build confidence in the sale.
